Our Story

Since 1848 Clearview Dairy has been farmer owned and is dedicated to producing high quality A2 Cheese. Owners  Louis and Jenny Averbeck are the 6th generation to run the farm with hopes that their son Garen will continue the tradition. In 2015 the Averbeck’s began breeding the A2 genetics after learning about Jenny's dairy allergy. They stumbled upon the genetic variation that could be in Holsteins. From there they bought the herd of cows from Louis parents and begin the breeding process.

“I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I love that I get to spend each and every day outside working with Mother Nature – even in the cold! Just give me a hooded jacket and I’m good to go. There’s nothing better than the smell of the fresh outdoors and the freedom that comes with it.”- Jenny Averbeck

The name, Clearview Dairy, came to be because of where they are situated, it’s super flat and nice clear view for miles around. They are on a mission to purvey their specialty cheeses to the community near and far. While they offer a few varieties of cheeses their favorite would have to be Moo Time Mozzarella.

“Our family doesn’t really have a favorite cheese per say as we eat a lot of it.  If we had to choose, our favorite would be our Moo Time Mozzarella to make homemade/fresh pizzas!”-Jenny Averbeck
